A heavy-duty de-greaser, it is useful in the preparation of metal prior to painting or application of adhesives.
Acetone is often the primary (or only) component in nail varnish remover.
Acetone is also used as super glue remover and for thinning and cleaning fibreglass resins and epoxies. Dissolving two-part epoxies and super glue before hardening.
It easily removes residues from glass and porcelain and as a cleaning agent when dealing with permanent markers
